  Welcome to the Building Learning Foundations middle-level leaders’ course in leading learning. The school middle-level leaders are the people who assist the senior leader, the Head Teacher, in leading learning for school’s primary section  improvement. In this unit you will learn about the course and do tasks that will help you check your learning. At the end of this unit you will have a good understanding of what this course is about and the different things that you will do as you study over the next four months and apply your learning, hopefully, for much longer.

In this unit you will learn how to prepare your work and yourself for the professional conversation with the Local Leader of Learning and undertake the professional conversation.  Towards the end of this unit you will undertake a professional conversation with the Local Leader of Learning( or a neighbouring LLL if your Head Teacher is the LLL) that will highlight your learning achievements and make it clear how you have applied this learning in your practice as a middle-level leader of learning in the school.
