Guiding information 2.11: Coaching session 3 with the Head Teacher

Arrange the time and place for this third coaching meeting, with the Head Teacher, at least one or two days in advance.

In coaching session of about 60 minutes : 

  1. Show your revised working job description (Task 2.7) to the Head Teacher. Make any final alterations before agreeing that you will both use it. (No more than 10 minutes)
  2. Discuss your two ideas for how you could assist the Head Teacher do his/her senior leader of learning job better. Listen carefully to his/her responses. Be prepared to accept changes. Agree to act on the selected idea. (No more than 20 minutes)
  3. Listen carefully to the Head Teacher’s ideas on how he/she could assist you do your duties. Select one idea and agree how he/she will implement it. (No more than 20 minutes)
  4. Explain that your next unit will be on School Improvement Plan. Discuss the progress the school has made in school development planning. Ask for a copy of the Annual Action Plan. (No more than 10 minutes').
