Re: What are the disadvantages of ICT in pedagogy?
There are always pros and cons to every type of aid used in classrooms, not matter whether they involve technology or not. To use technology effectively in the classroom the teacher needs to understand how to use it effectively in order to implement it appropriately otherwise it will probably just sit in the corner and gather dust. The students also need to be instructed in how to use the technology. These can become time consuming and can take up valuable teaching and learning time as everyone involved is learning how to use the technology and not the subject matter.

Re: What are the disadvantages of ICT in pedagogy?
ICT is seen as tools to help teachers create more 'learner-eccentric' learning environments
In OECD countries, research consensus holds that the most effective
uses of ICT are those in which the teacher, aided by ICTs, can challenge
pupils’ understanding and thinking, either through whole-class
discussions and individual/small group work using ICTs. ICTs are seen as
important tools to enable and support the move from traditional
'teacher-centric' teaching styles to more 'learner-centric' methods.
