  Topic3: How online facilitation is different from face to face facilitation?

  

  • Online facilitator supports students who are studying courses through the internet to mean that they support their students remotely.
    In online facilitation process, an online facilitator uses online tools like Skype or telecommunication companies to call the students and they use social media to provide support to students who are from different locations while in face to face facilitators facilitate their students in one provided area like classroom where both students and teacher are present.

    To be an online facilitator you should have:
    

    • good ICT skills in using new technologies
    • a keen interest in your subject with wide experience
    • enthusiasm and the ability to motivate students
    • commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds
    • clear and tactful communication skills
    • a patient supportive approach
    • Organizational, planning and time management skills.
