Roles in coaching

In every coaching relationship, there are two people. One is the coach. And the other is the learning partner. As a middle-level leader, you might sometimes be the coach and sometimes be the learning partner. It will depend on your level of skills and experience, as well as what your learning needs are.

When people are of the same level, they could have a coaching relationship, and this is called peer-to-peer coaching.

Middle-level leaders within a school could coach each other and they could also coach other teachers. They could also be learning partners.
