Growth Mindset and Critical Thinking
SummaryIn this unit we talked about having a Growth Mindset, how it helps learners to achieve to the best of their abilities and how having a Growth Mindset can also contribute to a peaceful society as it allows us to have empathy and to listen to and consider alternative views.
The language we use is powerful. It is important to think about the language we use and how small changes can make a very big difference in how we think and feel ourselves and how we make our learners think and feel.
We also looked at the importance of encouraging your learners to think critically. To encourage your learners to keep trying, and to see their errors as opportunities
to learn and make progress, you should ask lots of great questions in your lessons, encourage your learners to ask questions and support them to keep working towards better understanding and mastery of their learning.
