Topic outline
General
- Script : Teachers who want to learn more about teaching with technology will find this Online Learning Environment, informative and engaging. Using up-to date learning design and simple, accessible technology, the course runs on an easy-to-use learning platform available via the Internet. The course is designed for teachers who want to build on their knowledge and practice in teaching and learning with technology. It will run over three weeks and requires approximately three hours of time each week. Designed to accommodate teachers’ busy schedules, the course offers flexibility with options for learning the content. You will learn from readings, videos, discussions with other participants and teachers, meaningful exercises, quizzes and short assignments. The teacher should have a clear understanding of what students are doing through the online platform and how it’s helping them achieve learning goals. Online practice before coming to class can be a great way to help students understand key concepts and get feedback before applying knowledge in class. Follow up activities after class can aid in retention and reflection. For those teachers using a flipped classroom model, online activities through a publisher platform can support that effort. Students are more likely to engage fully with the assigned activities if they understand how the activities are helping them make progress towards the learning objectives. Teachers should take time to clarify what they expect from students and how meeting those expectations will translate into success in the course. After covering this this unit ,teachers will be able to create an online learning environment to support pervasive learning . This unit is made up by the following topics:
1 Introduction to online platforms.
2. Google Classroom.
3. Moodle Cloud.
4. Advantages and disadvantages of using an online platform to help structure learning that takes place outside the classroom.

Session 2 : Google Classroom
As far as the online learning is concerned, we are emphasizing paperless model and one of the models is Google Classroom which is an online tool that integrates G Suite apps (i.e. Gmail, Google Drive/Docs, and Google Calendar) in one platform to help teachers and students connect with the course and each other, distribute and give feedback on assignments and more.
Before you go through the content materials you need to pass the following pre-test:
As now you are done with the pre-test, you go forward with the course content :
