Before undertaking this unit, students are expected to have knowledge about different genocides and their consequences as they have studied them in History and social studies subject in year one and two. They might have heard about genocide ideology and how to prevent genocide. The tutor will check this through some questions. 

The tutor can therefore base on this background and effectively facilitate students through different activities intended in this unit.
