Before undertaking this unit, students are expected to have knowledge about types and functions of communication as they have studied them in unit one previously. They should also have some information that they have studied in ICT and History subjects about technological advancement. The tutor will check this through both oral and in written exercises. The tutor can start this unit by asking some questions related to the history of technological advancement to help learners recall latest discoveries that are related to this unit.
