Explain the essence of teaching SET including ICT component in primary and how the ICT tools are used in teaching and learning process.
Introductory Activity:
Read the following scenario and answer related questions
A student of preprimary school sharing dinner with her parents asked them the following questions:
- Why do you cook different types of food and why do we eat many times per day?
- Why some fruits you bring on table are red, green or yellow?
- When there is power cut at our school they put on a generator while here you put on the solar panel. Why and how?
- Again, when the power is off, I see you writing numbers in the cash power from your phone thereafter all lamps light. How this happen?
- Suppose you are the parent of that child, try to answer her questions.
- Do you think every parent in Rwanda will accurately answer all questions asked by that small child? If not, why and suggest corrective actions.
