Besides workshop this course is also run online through a Learning Management System (LMS) or platform called Moodle. It is essential that you feel comfortable with the online tools that you will be required to use as part of your studies. This session will be facilitated so make sure you follow his/her instructions and ask questions when things are not clear!
Learners are supposed to describe and demonstrate the use of common hardware and this is the competency of this unit
Learners demonstrate ability to perform basic maintenance and repair on hardware and assist in software troubleshooting.
Learners describe the functions and purposes of internet in the classroom and demonstrate the capability of using internet including e-mail, search, and social media functions in classwork.
Manage student project-based learning activities in a technology-enhanced environment to support collaboration.
Integrate the use of a computer laboratory into ongoing teacher activities. and manage the use of supplementary ICT resources with individuals and small groups of students in the regular classroom so as to not disrupt the other instructional activities in the class.
Learners should be able to locate necessary resources that help teachers acquire additional subject matter and pedagogical knowledge for professional development.
On completion of this unit, you should be able to describe the purpose and basic functions of graphics software to create a simple graphic display.

This short course, Education For Positive Peace (E4PP), is designed for pre-service and in-service teachers, TTC tutors and head teachers in Rwanda. It contains units related to the Peace and Values Education cross-cutting issues in the Competence Based Curriculum (CBC) including practical teaching tools related to behaviour management, social skills, growth mindset, critical thinking, inclusion and gender.
The course was created by A Partner in Education (APIE) in collaboration with Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB), Aegis Trust and the school leadership and teachers of Umubano Academy, with funding from The Lef Pillon Foundation and British and Foreign Schools Society.
