In this course, you will learn about facilitating learning and supporting learners in online learning environment.
Course overview
The course covers topics related to tutoring online learners including 1) online learning communities, 2) synchronous and asynchronous interaction, 3) eTutor’s role, tasks and skills, 4) self-directed learning, 5) possible problems and conflicts, 6) providing constructive feedback, 7) communication tools, 8) assessment, etc.

Objective 3: Create and tutor virtual/online and collaborative learning community
Objective 4: Use diverse communication technologies to support learners
The course structure
The course consists of four weeks: 2 weeks for the theoretical introduction of eTutroring concepts, practices and other related important information, and two weeks for practice. The course was designed in weekly format with busy learners who may avail about five learning hours per week.
The workload
You will need to spend 20 hours to complete this course: 10 hours for navigating through the course content and different quizzes and 10 hours of practice with peers in the forum discussion. You may spend about five hours on each week content and activities.
